I've had psoriatic arthritis since 1987 and for the last ten years or so, the symptoms were reasonably controlled with Enbrel. However, I would have to get a substantial amount of fluid drained out of my knees every 3-6 months and the range of motion of my knees became increasingly limited. About two years ago I started visiting Dr. Paine, as my rheumatologist had recommended that I try acupuncture along with the Enbrel. I am extremely happy with the results--my knees have not needed any draining since I've started acupuncture and my range of motion has been restored. Last year I was able to complete an extensive trek in Nepal (climbing above 15,000 feet in the process) and my skiing has never been better.

More recently I was experiencing some shoulder pain and range of motion issues due to frequent paddle boarding. Once again, treatment with Dr. Paine has led to substantial improvement.
